David joined Basalt at its inception and is located in the New York office. David is Head of the North American Team and a member of the Investment Committee. He advises on the origination, execution and management of investments for the Firm, with a focus on the North American market. David has 20 years of experience in infrastructure investment and development and is currently a director of Black Bear Transmission, Xpress Natural Gas and Skyway.  Previously, David worked at Balfour Beatty, where he advised financial investors on transactions in the transport and power sectors.

David holds a BA from Connecticut College and an MCP from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a focus on Applied Economics. David is a fluent speaker of Mandarin.
