Daniel has nearly 30 years of experience in global financial markets across Americas, Europe and Asia, including 15 years of expertise in infrastructure fundraising and investor relations. Prior to Basalt, Daniel was Head of Fundraising Americas at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. In different moment, he also served as Head of Sales North America, and Head of Sales Europe/Israel at Patria Investments, a Blackstone-affiliated company at the time. Earlier in his career, Daniel held several leadership roles at Banco Itaú BBA, including Head of Financial Sponsors Commercial Banking, Project Finance Sector Head, and Country General Manager in the Shanghai office.

Daniel holds a Master’s degree from MIT and a BA from FGV, complemented by executive education from INSEAD. Daniel is fluent in English and Portuguese and conversational in Italian, Spanish and Mandarin.
