Mareccio Energia (“Mareccio”) is a platform which Basalt has established for the aggregation of small scale operational Italian solar parks. The Italian small scale solar market is highly fragmented and parks benefit from a long term fixed tariff. Mareccio has been established with the objective of acquiring a substantial portfolio of assets and will therefore have the opportunity to deliver financial and operational enhancement to the portfolio through the increased scale of operations. Basalt has teamed up with LCF Alliance and Belectric as its operational partners to assist in delivery. Belectric is an existing operational partner from McEwan Power in the UK and a long established operator in Italy.
